Every year, Record Store Day names an official celebrity ambassador. (Previously, Jack White, Dave Grohl, and Chuck D have done the honors.) This year, it’s Metallica. Watch the band discuss their appreciation of Record Store Day and their role as ambassadors in a video below.

On Record Store Day weekend (April 15), Metallica will release deluxe edition reissues of their first two albums—1983′s Kill ‘Em All and 1984′s Ride the Lightning. The remastered box sets will come with previously unreleased music, a book featuring unreleased photos, handwritten lyrics, videos, and much more. Listen to a live version of “Phantom Lord,” which was recorded live in Paris in 1984, plus a garage demo of “Ride the Lightning” below. Find full details here.
