Minor Victories (Slowdive, Mogwai, Editors) Preview New Music in New Short Film

Minor Victories is the supergroup of Slowdive‘s Rachel GoswellMogwai‘s Stuart Braithwaite, Editors‘ Justin Lockey, and his brother James Lockey of Hand Held Cine Club.  We’ve already seen a short film, “Film One,” and a video for “A Hundred Ropes” in advance of their debut album, which is out June 3 on Fat Possum (US) and Play It Again Sam (worldwide). Now they’ve shared another short film, via the Creators’ Project. In it, a skateboarder gets up in the middle of the night, pulls on a Minor Victories hoodie, and heads out to skate around an empty car park with friends. It features a clip from the album track “Folk Arp.” Watch it below. The video was directed by Justin and James.
