Modest Mouse Reissue The Lonesome Crowded West and This Is a Long Drive for Someone With Nothing to Think About

Modest Mouse‘s 1996 album This Is a Long Drive for Someone With Nothing to Think About and 1997 LP The Lonesome Crowded West are getting reissued on vinyl next month. Both are out on 180-gram double LP via Isaac Brock’s label Glacial Pace and Fat Possum. This Is a Long Drive… is out October 28, The Lonesome Crowded West is out November 4.

Modest Mouse will also be releasing a 7″ single to accompany each reissue containing songs from the albums’ recording sessions. The Long Drive 7″ features “White Lies, Yellow Teeth” and “Buttons to Push the Buttons”, while the Lonesome Crowded West one features “Too Many Fiestas for Rueben” and a version of “Cowboy Dan” recorded in Olympia with Calvin Johnson.
