With her Best Female Video win for “Hold Up,” Beyoncé has broken the all-time record for most wins at the MTV Video Music Awards. She surpasses Madonna, who previously held the record with 20 total Moonmen, with her 21st win. Beyoncé’s wins include the show’s highest honor, the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award in 2014, as well as tonight’s wins for Best Editing, Best Cinematography, Best Choreography, Breakthrough Long Form Video, and Video of the Year (for “Formation”).
