Muse Drone Crashes Into Crowd During Concert: Watch

Last year, Muse released an album called Drones, a quasi-concept record about, in frontman Matt Bellamy’s words, “how the world is run by drones utilizing drones to turn us all into drones.” To illustrate the point, the band wanted to fly drones over the crowd’s heads during concerts, a feat they spent months talking up and implemented last year. Last night in London, however, the elaborate stage show went awry. Video captured by fans shows one blimp-shaped drone crashing, very slowly, into the O2 Arena crowd, during a song named “The Globalist.” The crew subsequently scrambled to rescue the drone and transport it from the arena, according to an NME reporter at the show. No fans are thought to have been injured.
