Napster Relaunches in Canada

In 2011, Napster was acquired by Rhapsody and seemingly went away for good. And now, it’s back. Napster has relaunched as a streaming and offline playback service in Canada, THR reports

Napster will return for $9.99 per month and will be available across several platforms (including iOS, Android, Windows Phone, Web, Sonos, and Chromecast). It will feature curated playlists from Canadian artists including Alessia Cara and Shawn Mendes.

“It was important to us that we enter Canada with a personalized music experience that has a complete catalog of local, national and international artists,” said Napster CFO Ethan Rudin in a statement.
