Nas Unveils New J Dilla-Produced Track “The Season” at Run the Jewels’ RTJ2 Release Show in Brooklyn

Last night, Killer Mike and El-P celebrated the release of their new album as Run the Jewels, RTJ2. The event, held at Nitehawk Cinemas in Brooklyn, included a screening of The Warriors, as well as a Q&A with the rappers. Then things got interesting.

A little ways into the event, Nas (whose label, Mass Appeal, released RTJ2) stopped by Nitehawk Cinemas to congratulate Killer Mike and El-P. Then, he surprised everyone by playing a new track built around the late J Dilla‘s “Gobstopper” titled “The Season”. Below, check out footage of Nas’ appearance, plus the unveiled song.
