New Pornographers Visit the Brill Building for "Funny or Die" Sketch, Live Performance Video

The New Pornographers just released their latest album, Brill Bruisers, last month on Matador. Today, frontman A.C. Newman visits the historic New York pop factory, the Brill Building, in a sketch for “Funny or Die”.

Comedians Julie Klausner and Anthony Atamanuik play the Brill Building’s last standing songwriters, who are not impressed with Newman’s work. “You should be a toilet repairman in Trenton, New Jersey,” Klausner tells Newman. Watch below.

The New Pornographers also recently performed a live set at the Brill Building. Watch the set below via NPR Music.

Correction: An earlier version of this story indicated that comedian/radio host Jake Fogelnest played one of the song writers. Fogelnest actually wrote and directed the sketch, but does not appear in it.
