New “Twin Peaks” Posters Revealed

New “Twin Peaks” Posters Revealed

Today is “Twin Peaks” Day. That is, the day that Laura Palmer’s body was found in 1989, sparking the mystery behind David Lynch’s iconic TV show. To mark the occasion, Showtime has shared two new posters for its upcoming revival. One poster depicts Laura, the other features Kyle McLachlan’s character, Special Agent Dale Cooper. Both posters say “It Is Happening Again.” Check them out below.

“Twin Peaks” returns with a two-hour premiere on Sunday, May 21 at 9 p.m. Eastern. Lynch directed all 18 parts of the limited series, which takes place 25 years after Laura’s murder.

Next month, Showtime will host a special two-day “Twin Peaks” experience at SXSW. It features musical performances (by Neko Case, Real Estate, Tame Impala’s Cameron Avery, and more), as well as a Double R Diner pop-up shop. There will also be merchandise, cocktails, coffee, a Voodoo Doughnut inspired by the show, and cherry pie. McLachlan is scheduled to make an appearance at the event.
