Nick Cave and Warren Ellis Soundtrack Ron Howard’s “Mars,” Share Theme: Listen

Earlier this year, Nick Cave and Warren Ellis provided the score for the Jeff Bridges-starring film Hell or High Water. Today, it’s been announced that the duo have scored the National Geographic Channel’s six-part series “Mars” (directed by Everardo Gout). Their soundtrack for the Ron Howard and Brian Grazer-produced series is out November 11 via Milan Records. Listen to “Mars Theme” from the soundtrack below; it features vocals by Nick Cave. Mars is a fictional series that tells the story of the first astronaut crew on a mission to Mars in 2033. The show will also feature interviews with actual scientific experts. The first episode airs on Monday, November 14 at 9 p.m. Eastern. Find a trailer below.
