Official Prince Tribute Concert to Feature John Mayer, Stevie Wonder, Chaka Khan, More

In late July, Prince‘s estate announced that an official tribute concert in honor of the Purple One will take place on October 13 at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. The show has since been moved to the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, and the lineup has been announced. Stevie Wonder, Christina Aguilera, John Mayer, and Chaka Khan are set to perform. Tori Kelly, Anita Baker, Doug E. Fresh, and Bilal have also been announced. Past Prince collaborators such as Morris Day and the Time, New Power Generation, Judith Hill, Liv Warfield, and members of 3RDEYEGIRL will also perform. Tickets go on sale Monday at 10 a.m., according to the Star Tribune.

Earlier this month, Prince’s band the Revolution reunited for a string of shows in Minneapolis. In August, it was announced that Prince’s famous Paisley Park estate would be converted into a museum. Many of the artists announced for the tribute concert performed tributes during this year’s BET Awards as well.
