Pet Shop Boys Announce New Album Super, Share “Inner Sanctum”

Last week, a mysterious website and several social media accounts appeared under the name “What Is Super?” Today, that question has been answered. On April 1, Pet Shop Boys will return with a new album called Super, on x2. It’s the followup to 2013′s Electric. Update (1/21 9:19 a.m.): Listen to new track “Inner Sanctum” below.

They’ve also announced “Inner Sanctum,” a specially designed, four-night residency at London’s Royal Opera House, which will be their only UK dates this year. That’ll run from July 20-23.

Super was written between London and Berlin, with Stuart Price producing and mixing the record in Los Angeles.
