Peter Doherty Releases Amy Winehouse Tribute "Flags of the Old Regime"

Peter Doherty has released a new single called “Flags of the Old Regime” that pays tribute to Amy Winehouse. The single is out March 9 via Walk Tall Recordings, with all proceeds going to benefit the Amy Winehouse Foundation, which works to discourage drug abuse in young people. Hear the song, which debuted on Zane Lowe’s BBC Radio 1 show, below.

On “Flags of the Old Regime”, Doherty is backed by Drew McConnell (Babyshambles), Jamie Morrison, Stephen Large, and Stephen Street, with production by Street. All proceeds from the sale of the single will benefit Amy Winehouse Foundation.

Doherty’s old band, the Libertines, have been recording their first new album since 2004.
