Pharrell Gets a Creepy $230 Action Figure

Pharrell Gets a Creepy $230 Action Figure

Are you a Pharrell fan with extra cash lying around to spend on creepy toys? You’re in luck: Pharrell took to Twitter yesterday to reveal his upcoming action figure, manufactured by Japanese art-toy purveyor Medicom (the same company behind previous lines of Daft Punk bear toys and figurines). The posable toy is eerily lifelike and incredibly detailed, right down to the neck tattoo and tracksuit. It comes packaged with a slew of accessories, including Pharrell’s signature hat, a bracelet, a watch, a carabiner, and a microphone.

The action figure will hit shelves next January, and is priced at 24,800 yen (about $231, not including import fees). That’s a steal compared to the limited-edition miniature Pharrell sculptures sold at last year’s Art Basel show in Hong Kong, which went for $20,000 apiece. Check out photos of the action figure below, and read our interview with Pharrell.
