Portishead's Geoff Barrow's Beak> Announce Split EP ... With Themselves

Beak> – Geoff Barrow‘s not-Portishead band – are putting out a split EP…with themselves. The four-track offering, out this July via Barrow’s Invada label, features two tracks from Beak> (Barrow, Billy Fuller, and Matt Williams), and two tracks from <Kaeb, which is being described as Beak>’s “alter-ego” featuring “an ever expanding and floating membership.” <Kaeb’s “There’s No One” features vocals by Jonwayne.

The split EP follows 2012′s album >>. Earlier this year, Barrow scored the film Ex Machina. Beak> will score the upcoming film Couple in a Hole, directed by Tom Geens. Beak> also have a few shows coming up; find the dates below.
