Prince’s Band the Revolution Performs First Reunion Show in Minneapolis: Watch

In the aftermath of Prince’s death earlier this year, his legendary backing band the Revolution announced that they would be reuniting for a series of shows at First Avenue in Minneapolis (the club where much of Prince’s iconic film Purple Rain was shot). Tonight, the Revolution hit the stage for the first of those reunion shows; watch them perform “Let’s Go Crazy,” “Little Red Corvette,” “Do It All Night,” “Purple Rain,” and more below. Bilal also joined the Revolution to do “The Beautiful Ones”—see that below as well. The band consists of Wendy Melvoin, Lisa Coleman, BrownMark, Dr. Fink, and Bobby Z., as well as “special guests” guitarist Dez Dickerson and bassist André Cymone.
