This week, “Jimmy Kimmel Live” moved their show to Brooklyn. For last night’s episode, musical guests Public Enemy performed a six-and-a-half-minute “Fight the Power” medley, also featuring partial renditions of “Man Plans God Laughs” and “911 Is a Joke”. During the show, Flava Flav also cameoed in Do the Right Thing 2: Do the White Thing, Kimmel’s parody of the Spike Lee classic, set in 2015 Brooklyn. (In an earlier scene, a Brooklynite taking up Radio Raheem’s role blasts out Neutral Milk Hotel’s In the Aeroplane Over the Sea from a vinyl-enabled boombox.) The clip closes with a bluegrass cover of “Fight the Power”. Watch it all below.
