Puff Daddy Gives $1 Million to Howard University

In 2014, Howard University in Washington, D.C. gave alumnus Puff Daddy an honorary doctorate. Now, he’s given something back: $1 million, WUSA 9 reports. The donation establishes the school’s new Sean Combs Scholarship Fund, which will provide scholarships to undergraduate business students in financial need. Recipients will also get a mentor from Combs Enterprises and an internship with Bad Boy Entertainment or Revolt Media & TV, according to WUSA 9. Combs presented the check (pictured above) on stage last night, during the Bad Boy Reunion tour stop at Washington’s Verizon Center.

Puff, who didn’t graduate from Howard, said, “The only reason why I was able to chase my dreams was the empowerment that Howard gave me, the support that they gave me, the first two years.”
