Governors Ball is taking place in New York City this weekend. During Rae Sremmurd‘s set this afternoon, Slim Jimmy slipped off a speaker in front of the stage and injured his leg, as Billboard reports. He was taken backstage, where he used a microphone to tell the crowd that a “big ass piece of glass” had lodged in his leg. “If you got that video, put that shit on Instagram,” he reportedly said. His brother and Rae Sremmurd partner Swae Lee told the crowd that Jimmy’s leg “is, like, split open, I’m serious.”

After Jimmy left the festival to receive further medical treatment, Swae Lee continued the performance. A photo of Jimmy in the ambulance was also posted to Rae Sremmurd’s Instagram, along with a caption saying that he was “doing ok thanks to all the fans.”

Governors Ball issued a statement: “After suffering an injury, Slim Jimmy was taken immediately to a nearby hospital where he’s in stable condition. The safety of our artists and visitors is our number one priority and our medical team was able to address this issue quickly and effectively.”
