RBMA NYC 2017 Lineup: Solange, Gucci Mane, Werner Herzog, More

Red Bull Music Academy Festival New York returns for its fifth consecutive year with a series of performances, lectures, and workshops that start April 29 and run through May 21. Today, the initial slate of events has been announced. Among the highlights are a one-of-a-kind dance performance from Solange (called An Ode To and created for the Guggenheim), a piano bar performance from Gucci Mane and Zaytoven, and a film lecture from Werner Herzog. There will also be a celebration of Alice Coltrane (including music from the upcoming Luaka Bop compilation), a Prince tribute by Moodymann, and a 10-hour ambient listening experience featuring Julianna Barwick, Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith, Visible Cloaks, and others.
