Rihanna, Massive Attack, More Cancel Nice Shows

Yesterday, a truck attack on a busy promenade in Nice left dozens dead. In its wake, a number of artists have canceled concerts in the city. Last night, Rihanna was in the city for a concert scheduled to take place tonight. That show has been canceled. (Her reps confirmed to Billboard that she’s safe.) Today, the Nice Jazz Festival, which was scheduled for this weekend, has also been called off. Performers slated to appear included Robert Plant, George Clinton, and Massive Attack, who also canceled their own show in the city. “In light of the tragic and senseless events in Nice our show on Tuesday is cancelled,” they tweeted. “toutes nos pensees vont aux victimes.”
