Robyn Covers Arthur Russell's "Tell You (Today)"

On October 21, a new Arthur Russell tribute compilation is on its way via Yep Roc. It was compiled by the Red Hot Organization, which works for AIDS awareness through pop culture. (Russell died of AIDS in 1992.) Following Sufjan Stevens’ take on “A Little Lost” and Hot Chip’s cover of “Go Bang”, Robyn‘s contribution to the comp has now surfaced.

She takes on “Tell You (Today)”, the 1983 track by Russell’s disco band Loose Joints. Listen below via Vogue.

Master Mix: Red Hot + Arthur Russell also features Blood Orange, Phosphorescent, Jose Gonzalez, Devendra Banhart, Arcade Fire’s Richard Reed Parry, Scissor Sisters, Cults, Colin Stetson, Thao & the Get Down Stay Down, Sam Amidon, Lonnie Holley, Glen Hansard, Neon Indian’s Alan Palomo under his VEGA INTL moniker, and more.
