Robyn has partnered with the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm, Sweden, to launch Tekla, a one-day festival aimed at promoting the inclusion of women in technology. It takes place April 18, and features workshops, motivational speakers, and—of course—a performance from Robyn.

The festival originated after Robyn was awarded KTH’s Great Prize, which honors “a person who, through epoch-making discoveries and the creation of new values and by ingenious applications of findings gained on the practical aspects of life, promotes Sweden’s continued material progress.”

In a press release, Robyn said she wanted to use the platform to inspire girls aged 11-to-18 who might be intrigued about technology—a historically male-dominated industry. “Tekla is a festival for girls, in which they get to sample different areas of future technology in what I believe will be a fun and imaginative environment,” she wrote.

Previously, students at KTH built a Robyn robot.
