Run the Jewels Get Ta-Nehisi Coates’ Black Panther Cover

Run the Jewels Get Ta-Nehisi Coates’ Black Panther Cover

Last year, Marvel made Howard the Duck and Deadpool comic book covers inspired by Run the Jewels’ iconic “fist and gun” logo. Now, Black Panther #2, the second issue of an ongoing run written by Ta-Nehisi Coates, is getting the same treatment with two characters striking the pose on the cover. The variant cover (made by artist Rahzzah) is scheduled for release on June 15, according to ComicBookResources. See it below.

In addition to the special cover, Run the Jewels’ RTJ2 song “Oh My Darling (Don’t Cry)” has been used to soundtrack a promo for Coates’ upcoming storylines on the comic. Scroll down for the trailer.
