Run the Jewels Launch Augmented Reality Platform

On Christmas Eve, Run the Jewels released their third self-titled album. Today, the physical editions of the record are out in the United States (and worldwide on January 20). In conjunction with the release, they’ve launched a new augmented reality-based platform called ARTJ. All of the art from the RTJ3 vinyl and CDs, as well as the duo’s digital images and merch (like posters, stickers, and t-shirts) have been enabled for AR. Using the ARTJ app, fans can see new customized RTJ content when they point their phone at certain images. The app features contributions from Tim Saccenti, Hector Arias, and Nick Gazin, and was developed by Experiture. Check it out here, and watch a preview below.

Earlier this month, Run the Jewels announced the new season of their Beats 1 radio show WRTJ. They also just kicked off their 2017 tour with support from Nick Hook, Gangsta Boo, Gaslamp Killer, and Cuz. See their upcoming tour dates below.
