"Saturday Night Live"'s Vanessa Bayer Gives Terrible Advice to St. Vincent on "Sound Advice"

“Saturday Night Live”‘s Vanessa Bayer stars in Above Average‘s web series “Sound Advice” as the world’s least-helpful publicist, Janessa Slater. In the past, she’s given her terrible advice to DrakeTV on the RadioInterpol, and Haim. In the latest episode, the recipient is Annie Clark, aka St. Vincent… despite the fact that Slater claims she’s never actually heard any of St. Vincent’s music.

After disproving the theory that St. Vincent is an actual saint, Slater brainstorms with Clark to create with a new scandal (for PR purposes). “Maybe you were caught at a drug store, and you stole a beer because technically it said two-for-one, but that promotion had ended but you didn’t realize it,” she suggests. “Maybe you stayed at a hotel and you trashed it, something like that.” Clark insists she doesn’t do that sort of thing, but Bayer advises her to do it anyway, so people will think she’s a “deev”.
