Scott Walker and Sunn O))) Share "Brando" Film
This week, Scott Walker and Sunn O))) released their collaborative record, Soused, on 4AD. Now the Marlon Brando-inspired “Brando” has a tense, rather cryptic video, by French-Austrian choreographer/director, Gisèle Vienne. Watch below via NPR.
The video was filmed in a 1968 chalet in the French Alps. According to a press release, it revolves around three characters: a dancer, played by Anja Röttgerkamp; a teenager, by Léon Rubbens; and French actress Catherine Robbe-Grillet.
Vienne and Sun O)))’s Stephen O’Malley have collaborated in the past, and October 29-November 1 they’ll present a dance-theater piece at New York Live Arts, “Kindertotenlieder”.
