Scott Walker Scoring The Childhood of a Leader Starring Robert Pattinson

The Childhood of a Leader is the forthcoming directorial debut from actor Brady Corbet (Melancholia). It stars Robert Pattinson (Twilight), Stacy Martin (Nymphomaniac), Tim Roth (Reservoir Dogs), and Bérénice Bejo (The Artist). Most importantly, it will feature an original score by Scott Walker, ScreenDaily reports.

The film is described as “a chilling fable about the rise of fascism in the 20th Century”.

It tells the story of a young American living in France in 1918 whose father is working for the US government on the creation of the Treaty of Versailles. What he witnesses helps mould his beliefs and the film bears witness to the birth of a terrifying ego.

Walker’s collaborative LP with Sunn O))), Soused, is out October 21 via 4AD. Here’s the album’s trailer:
