Scott Weiland’s Cause of Death Revealed

Scott Weiland's Cause of Death Revealed

On December 4, former Stone Temple Pilots frontman Scott Weiland was found dead on his tour bus in Minnesota. It’s now been determined that Weiland overdosed from a combination of cocaine, MDA, and alcohol, as TMZ reports. The Hennepin County Medical Examiner determined that asthma and heart disease were also factors, as well as Weiland’s history of addiction.

Shortly after Weiland’s death, his Wildabouts bandmate Tommy Black was arrested and charged with fifth degree felony possession of drugs. TMZ also reports that Xanax, sleeping pills, Viagra, and drugs to treat bipolar disorder were found on the band’s tour bus, but those drugs played no part in Weiland’s death.
