Racing Extinction is a new documentary from Academy-Award-winning director Louie Psihoyos (The Cove) presented in collaboration with the Oceanic Preservation Society that explores humanity’s role in mass extinctions. The documentary features new songs from Sia and Antony Hegarty (aka ANOHNI) penned alongside the film’s composer, J. Ralph. Below, you can listen to Sia’s “One Candle” (which accompanies a trailer) and Antony’s “Manta Ray”, via Rolling Stone.

In August, Psihoyos and artist Travis Threlkel projected videos of various endangered species on the side of the Empire State Building. The spectacle—the first time moving images were projected on the New York City landmark, as the New York Times points out—was soundtracked by Sia and Antony’s songs.

Speaking with Rolling Stone about the new track, Sia said, “As an animal advocate, how could I pass up an opportunity to turn the volume up on this issue? I am proud to lend my voice to this important film.”

As for Antony’s involvement, Ralph commented, “I remember Louie [Psihoyos] and I having a discussion once about what the world would sound like without any music or sounds from nature [and] what it would sound like if there was only one voice left on the planet. If I had to pick one artist to represent the fate of humanity, it would be Antony.”

Racing Extinction airs on the Discovery Channel on December 2.

Sia and ANOHNI are each plotting new albums: This is Acting and HOPELESSNESS, respectively.
