Sigur Rós Tease Something Called “Norður Og Niður”

Sigur Rós have posted the mysterious 10-second teaser video below. The silent clip shows only the words “Norður Og Niður,” which collapse into a pile of letters. Watch it below. The words translate from Icelandic to “north and down,” and a link in the YouTube description leads to a mailing list sign-up page. (When you sign up, you receive an email that reads “soon….” with a download of a photo of the band.) It’s currently unclear what’s being teased, but a representative for Sigur Rós has confirmed to Pitchfork that the band are not teasing a new album announcement. Sigur Rós’ last album was 2013’s Kveikur.
