“SNL”’s Pete Davidson: “We Don’t Want to Listen to Anything Kanye West Has to Say Ever Again”

Pete Davidson appeared on the “Weekend Update” section of last night’s episode of “SNL” to discuss the protests following Donald Trump’s election victory. When “Weekend Update” host Colin Jost asked Davidson what he thought the “worst part” of Trump’s presidency was going to be, Davidson took a second to address Kanye’s recent comments supporting President-elect Trump and Kanye’s desire to run for president in 2020.

Davidson said that he thought the worst effect of Trump’s victory was “how anyone thinks they can be run for office,” and he offered Kanye as a prime example. “Even Kanye thinks he can be president. He’s been saying he loves Trump, and he’s going to run against him” he said. “Like he heard people saying ‘this is the greatest threat America has ever faced,’ and he was like ‘no I’m the greatest.’” Davidson, concluded by offering a piece of advice to America, saying, “We as a country need to agree that if it isn’t over a sick beat, we don’t want to listen to anything Kanye West has to say ever again.” You can watch Davidson on “Weekend Update” below.

Last night, in Sacramento, Kanye made polarizing comments that addressed Hillary Clinton, Jay Z, Beyoncé, the radio, and the press. He also brought out Kid Cudi for a performance of Waves.” Last month, Pete Davidson appeared on “Breakfast Club” where he revealed the importance of Kid Cudi in his life and discussed the state of hip-hop.
