Solid Steel Relaunches With Caribou Exclusive Mix, Decades of Archival Material

In honor of its 27th year, the legendary DJ mix show Solid Steel has relaunched its website. They’re kicking things off with a new mix from Caribou, and a second hour from Colleen. Listen to those here.  Next week, the site will feature Four Tet and Anthony Naples doing an exclusive Text records special.

In addition to the new mixes, Solid Steel is uploading archival material from the ’80s, ’90s, and ’00s to the new site. A Caribou mix from 2000 (when he still went by Manitoba), plus 1990s contributions from Matthew Herbert as Doctor Rockit, Autechre, Juan Atkins, The Orb, and more are all on the site now, with more to come from Four Tet, Diplo, Squarepusher, DJ Shadow, Tortoise, Hudson Mohawke, Amon Tobin, Super Furry Animals, and others.
