Stephen Colbert Interviews Eminem on Michigan Public Access TV Show

As part of his test run before he takes over David Letterman’s vacated late night show, Stephen Colbert hosted an episode of “Only in Monroe”, a public access talk show that airs in Michigan. During his guest appearance, he interviewed none other than Eminem. You can watch a video of the interview below around the 22:00 mark.

As you might expect, it’s not entirely serious. Colbert opens up by quizzing Eminem (who’s introduced as Marshall Mathers) about Bob Seger songs (which go unrecognized) before pushing the rapper to explain his entire career. “Are you one of the slow talking rappers, or one of the fast talking rappers?” Colbert asks. Let’s hope this makes it to late night!

It was the second big interview of Eminem’s day: He was also the inaugural interview subject on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 show.
