The 2 Bears - the duo of Joe Goddard (Hot Chip) and Raf Rundell – are releasing their new album The Night Is Young on October 13 via Fatboy Slim’s label Southern Fried. The LP, which follows 2012′s Be Strong, draws deeply from the duo’s travels, especially sessions in South Africa last summer where the duo recorded with local musicians in a studio run by BLK JKS‘ Tshepang Ramoba. Right now, you can listen to the album in full until its release date via Pitchfork Advance, our online streaming platform designed to emulate the album listening experience. Listen here until October 13.

Obliterations are a Southern California band comprised of current and former members of Black Mountain, Saviours, and Night Horse. Their debut LP Poison Everything arrives October 14 in the United States (a day earlier in Europe) via Southern Lord. It was produced by Chris Owens (Lords, Coliseum, Young Widows) at Dave Grohl’s Studio 606 and mixed by Converge‘s Kurt Ballou. Listen to the record in its entirety here until October 13.

Arriving October 14 via 6131I’ll Be the Tornado marks the latest effort from New Jersey emo two-piece Dads. It’s the follow-up to their 2012 album American Radass (This Is Important). Listen here until October 13.

Pitchfork Advance showcases an interactive listening environment featuring pre-release albums streams with dynamic graphics and a host of tools that allows fans to engage with album art, lyrics, credits, track listings, artist info, and more while they listen.
