Stream Portishead's Geoff Barrow and Ben Salisbury's Ex Machina Soundtrack

Portishead‘s Geoff Barrow and composer Ben Salisbury have collaborated on the soundtrack for Ex Machina, a new science fiction movie about a highly evolved artificial intelligence. Now, you can listen to the soundtrack below, via Rolling Stone. It’s out April 7, while the movie will be released April 10.

Speaking to Rolling Stone, Barrow said he’s begun “calibrating my brain to Portishead mode.” He and Salisbury are also working on a third film-related project. (Previously, they collaborated on 2012′s DROKK: Music Inspired by Mega-City One.)

“People could listen to Ex Machina and go, ‘Yeah that sounds like a standard electronic score.’ But, to us it doesn’t feel like that,” he said. “When people have a cup of tea, they might say, ‘Oh, it tastes like tea.’ But for us, I know we individually packed every little tea leaf into that bag.”
