Swans’ Thor Harris Readies Album With New Band Thor & Friends

Swans‘ Thor Harris has started a new band. It’s called Thor & Friends and it will feature a rotating cast of Austin-based musicians. The band’s core members are Peggy Ghorbani, Sarah “Goat” Gautier, and (obviously) Thor himself. The debut Thor & Friends album will be out on LM Dupli-cation this fall. It was recorded with A Hawk & A Hacksaw’s Jeremy Barnes and Heather Trost and Deerhoof’s John Dieterich in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Meanwhile, Swans have released a snippet of “When Will I Return?” Their new album, The Glowing Man, is out June 17 on Young God Records/Mute.
