Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, Trump’s Lawyer React to Snoop Dogg’s Anti-Trump “Lavender” Video

This week, Snoop Dogg released a video for the BADBADNOTGOOD and Kaytranada rework “Lavender,” which found him, among other things, pulling a gun on a Trump lookalike in clown makeup. A number of politicians have since responded to the clip. Marco Rubio was among the first to voice dissent: “We’ve had presidents assassinated before in this country, so anything like that is really something we should be very careful about,” he told TMZ. “The wrong person sees that and gets the wrong idea, you can have a real problem.” Trump’s personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, said people should “respect the office of the presidency.” “It’s totally disgraceful,” he told TMZ. “Snoop owes the president an apology. There’s absolutely nothing funny about an assassination attempt on a president.” Ted Cruz, who hasn’t seen the video, said it’s “in poor taste to be making fun of murdering someone, and in particular assassinating the president.” See the full videos below.
