Teklife Launches Label With DJ Rashad Tribute Compilation Afterlife

Last year, it was reported that footwork crew Teklife would be launching their own label, with a compilation as its maiden release. Today, that project has been properly announced: Afterlife, a collection of fourteen previously-unheard collaborations between the late DJ Rashad and other musicians from the Teklife crew.

Arriving April 8, the new release doubles as a tribute to Rashad, with a portion of the profits going to the footwork pioneer’s family. Find a full tracklisting below, and above, listen to “High on Hope,” a bonus collaboration between Microglobe and Machinedrum.

This isn’t Teklife’s first compilation released in tribute to Rashad. In 2014, the crew teamed with Hyperdub for the memorial release Next Life.
