The Avalanches Share Full Audio of Primavera Sound Set: Listen

In the same week that the Avalanches announced their new album Wildflower (out July 8), gave a rare interview, shared their debut single “Frankie Sinatra,” and delivered that track’s wild music video, they also made their live return at Primavera Sound. While footage of that show has already surfaced, the Avalanches have decided to share audio of their full hour-long set. Listen to it below. They also told the story behind that set, which apparently came together at the last minute. “Put this show together an hour before showtime after visa fuckups nixed our live band plans,” they wrote. “Thank fuck we had our vinyl with us. Special thanks and much love to Jamie xx who came through for us with the classic ‘good times’ acapella at the last moment!” They also note that the “mixing is ruff as fuck” for the live audio, “but that’s the way we roll. None of this ableton bullshit, this is punk rock kids!” Update (10:13 a.m.): The Avalanches have removed the SoundCloud stream of their Primavera set.
