The-Dream Announces New EPs Crown and Jewel, Shares "That's My Shit" Video Featuring T.I.

Last year, The-Dream released a seven-song EP called Royalty: The Prequel before falling silent for months. In December, he released a new track called “Fruition”, and now The-Dream has announced his latest offering: 2 EPs, Crown and Jewel, to be released in the coming months. Crown is up first, due out March 31, and Jewel will follow in June. Both EPs will be released via The-Dream’s newly-minted Contra Paris imprint, a Capitol-backed record label, business, fashion and philantrophic platform he co-founded with frequent collaborator Tricky Stewart. In addition to the news, he’s also shared a video for “That’s My Shit”, Crown‘s first single and a collaboration with T.I. Watch Alex Herron‘s video – in which the two sharply-dressed performers entertain a houseful of lingerie-clad models – below.

In a press release, The-Dream discussed the forthcoming EPs:

Crown is more modern R&B, and Jewel will be more what you might think of as my songwriter side, the songs I might have given to other artists before. If you put me in a box, Jewel is more what you get when that box is open. But I’m not limited by any box I’ve been put in, every year I’m expanding and growing, and it makes for a more interesting plot.
