The Exploding Hearts' Terry Six and King Louie Bankston Reunite, Share "(I'm) Lookin' for a Heart"

The Exploding Hearts released one proper album, and it’s a classic: 2003′s Guitar Romantic. Tragically, three members of the band—Adam Cox, Matt Fitzgerald, and Jeremy Gage—died that same year in a car accident. Now, former Exploding Hearts Terry Six and King Louie Bankston have teamed up to make power pop songs once again for the first time in a decade.

They call themselves Terry & Louie, and they’re releasing a 7″ featuring their songs “(I’m) Lookin’ for a Heart” and “She Loves Him” on September 30 via Six’s label Tuff Break. That’s the artwork below—check out the A-side, above.

The tracks feature Garett Goddard (Girls, King Tuff, Personal & the Pizzas, Cuts) on drums. The tracks were engineered by Six and mastered by Pat Kearns, who produced Guitar Romantic.

Terry & Louie are playing this year’s Gonerfest in Memphis on September 27.

After the Exploding Hearts, Six made an album and two singles with the Nice Boys. Bankston has kept busy with Missing Monuments, the Loose Diamonds, and his one man band.
