As 2014 came to an end, the Libertines signed a record deal and announced intentions to release a new studio album. This evening, they performed a surprise set at Glastonbury during which they performed two new songs: “Gunga Gin”, which they debuted last week, and a previously-unheard song called “Handsome”. Check out footage of them doing “Handsome” and “Gunga Gin” below, plus the setlist (via NME). Update, 6/27 3:24 EST: As reader Krystal Cannon points out, “Handsome” isn’t a new track, but rather a rare Pete Doherty solo cut that’s rarely ever performed.
