The National, Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon, Jenny Lewis, More Come Together for First Ever Day of the Dead Performance at Eaux Claires: Watch

Earlier this year, Aaron and Bryce Dessner of the National produced an enormous compilation of Grateful Dead covers by various indie rock acts, titled Day of the DeadTonight, at their second-ever Eaux Claires festival in Wisconsin (produced alongside Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon), the Dessner brothers assembled a group of musicians including Vernon, Will Oldham, Jenny Lewis, Phosphorescent’s Matt Houck, So Percussion, Bruce Hornsby, Phil Cook, and more for the first-ever Day of the Dead performance. Last night, Bon Iver debuted their third studio album 22, A Million during their closing set at the festival, including new songs “22 (OVER S∞∞N) [Bob Moose Extended Cab Version]” and “10 d E A T h b R E a s T ⊠ ⊠ (Extended Version).”
