The National Launch Copenhagen Festival, Announce MusicNOW Lineup

The National have announced involvement in two upcoming festivals. Aaron and Bryce Dessner are collaborating with the Denmark brewery Mikkeller and food activist Claus Meyer to create a festival called HAVEN. The festival, which takes place next August 11-12 in Copenhagen, will feature a performance from the National and other acts to be announced later. It will also offer food and beer, along with “musical experiments and collaborations of many kinds.” Find more information about HAVEN here.

In addition to HAVEN, MusicNOW, which was founded by Bryce Dessner in 2006, will return for its 12th season in 2017. It takes place January 12 at Ohio’s Aronoff Center. There will be a performance by Bob Weir and the Campfire Band, which features Aaron Dessner, Bryan Devendorf and Scott Devendorf. The lineup also includes the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, and Lisa Hanningan with Aaron Dessner. Find more info about MusicNOW here.
