The Smiths 7” With Unreleased Music Set for Record Store Day

Last year, it was announced that two unreleased recordings by the Smiths were set to be issued on a new 7” single. The release date, however, was not revealed at the time. Now, it has been announced that the single will be available for this year’s Record Store Day (April 22) via Rhino. As previously reported, it contains a demo mix of The Queen Is Dead’s “The Boy With the Thorn in His Side” and an “early Drones version” of “Rubber Ring.” Below, see the newly revealed cover art, featuring actor Albert Finney. (The previously shared artwork featured a different photo of Finney.)
