The Weeknd Returns to Toronto's Mod Club, Site of His First Performance, for Career-Spanning Set

Back in 2011, the Weeknd performed his first real show at the Mod Club in his hometown of Toronto. Last week, to promote the release of Beauty Behind the Madness, Abel Tesfaye returned to the Mod Club for a concert that was filmed by VEVO. He noted the significance of the venue on Instagram, remarking, “I can’t explain the feeling. The first time I ever exposed my face to my fans in 2011. MOD CLUB will live forever in my heart…” (He even wore the same camouflage jacket that he wore at the 2011 show.)

Below, watch clips from the discography-spanning performance.

Last night, the Weeknd delivered a fiery performance of “Can’t Feel My Face” at the VMAs.
