The Wrens Share New Demo “At Irish Exit”: Listen

The Wrens have shared a new instrumental demo, “At Irish Exit.” Listen to it below. According to the SoundCloud description, the band says the “post-election despair-y fog” led to them wanting to post a new song. “It’s the last one still under construction and yes, that means the album is only finishing now,” the description reads. Which is to say: the Wrens’ follow-up to their 2003 album The Meadowlands is still on the way.

This past September, the news broke that the Wrens’ Charles Bissell’s cancer was in remission. The band said their new album was “being mastered” back in July of 2015, then shared a new song called “Three Types of Reading Ambiguity” via cassette tape in October 2015.
