Thundercat Performs New Song "Them Changes" and "Tron Song", Gets Interviewed at Pitchfork Nightcap in New Orleans

This summer, Pitchfork launched Nightcap, a series of late night shows across the United States. On November 1, Nightcap headed to New Orleans for a party at One Eyed Jacks featuring bassist extraordinaire Thundercat and DJ/Stones Throw label head Peanut Butter Wolf. (There was also a special DJ set from DJ Windows 98, aka Win Butler of Arcade Fire.)

Pitchfork.tv filmed the show. Below, watch Thundercat perform “Tron Song” from Apocalypse as well as a new, unreleased track called “Them Changes”. Thundercat also sat down for an interview with Pitchfork.tv, in which he details the benefits of performing late at night and the kinetics of his live show. Also, watch Peanut Butter Wolf spin Dâm-Funk‘s “Hood Pass Intact” at the show.

Pitchfork Nightcap is sponsored by Jim Beam Bourbon.
