Travis Peterson, Video Director for Ariel Pink, Glass Candy, and More, Reported Missing

A host of L.A. musicians including Julia Holter, Nite Jewel, and La Sera have appealed for help in locating Travis Peterson, a filmmaker and video director who went missing before the new year. Peterson, 40, was last seen December 29 at a 76 gas station in L.A.’s La Cañada Flintridge, on the 1500 block of Foothills Boulevard, LA Weekly reports. He drives a silver 2002 Volvo wagon, with the California license plate “4YCV509.” Peterson’s wife, Emilie Halpern, posted a missing persons report on Instagram, which you can see below. “Peterson is described as a 40-year-old male with blond hair and green eyes,” the notice reads. “He stands 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs around 180 pounds.”

Peterson’s work as a director includes videos for Ariel Pink, Nite Jewel, Glass Candy, and Vivian Girls. He also produced Julia Holter’s “Everytime Boots,” and covered the U.S. presidential election for the BBC. On January 3, police sent a helicopter to search the area where he may have been driving; Halpern also hired a private investigator to help search efforts, LA Weekly reports.
